Policeman killed, another injured in Bijbehara militant attack
Srinagar : A policeman was killed and another injured after militants attacked a police vehicle in Pazalpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
Reports said that head constable Abdul Rashid and Special Police Officer Bilal Ahmad were injured in the attack. Both of them were rushed to sub-district hospital Bijbehara where Ahmad was declared dead on arrival.
Rashid was shifted to Srinagar in injured state, hospital sources said.
Immediately after the attack, a huge contingent of forces cordoned off the area and started searches to nab the attackers.
