Elderly man mauled to death by bear in North Kashmir

An elderly man was mauled to death by a bear in Bazipora village of Ajas locality in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Reports said that on today morning a shepherd identified as Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, 55, son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Bazipora Ajas was grazing cattle in woods and he was attacked by a bear.
However, Bhat was rushed to a hospital in Srinagar where he succumbed.
