Coaching centers conducting early morning classes in Parraypora Srinagar, violating DSEK order

SRINAGAR, : Despite government orders to conduct private coaching of students only after one hour of closure of schools, many coaching institutes allegedly in violation of guidelines are conducting classes during the early morning hours.
A group of parents while taking to Press Trust of Kashmir said that there was an immediate need of change in private coaching timing. They said that the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) had taken an appreciable step, but all in vain as coaching centers doesn’t follow the order.
“Our children have to face the brunt as they have to reach coaching centers early in the morning before opening of schools. This has put an extra burden on them besides taking heavy toll on their mental health and physical health as well.
They said that the private tuition centre in Parraypora area of Srinagar like pulse institute of competitive studies despite pleas doesn’t bother to either follow DSEK order or realize the concerns of suffering students.
A student of the institute said, “We are facing lot of problem due to timing of private coaching. The concern authorities should look into the issue”.
Another student added, “We have to attend class of 50 minutes early in the morning. What should we do during Ramadam the coaching is in the morning due to that we are not able to study at home”.
They added that the schools open at 8:30am, then they to attend tuition centre around 6:00am in the morning. They said it is very hectic for them and affects their studies and health both.
They said that many students of this particular coaching center are depressed due to the change in tuition timing by tuition centre.
They requested director schools education to look into the matter.
When contact Joint Director Abid Hussain he told Press Trust of Kashmir that they have not received any complaint from parents. He added, “We will send a team to check the tuition centre”.
However chairman Coaching Centres Association, G N Var told PTK that those tuition/coaching centre who don’t DSEK follow the guideline are violators adding that government should take stern action against them. (PTK)
