GHSS Satoora Tral lack lecturers, students suffer, authorities assure action

tral : The Government Higher Secondary School, Satoora, in Aripal area of Tral at this south Kashmir district, faces shortage of lecturers due to which students are suffering badly in the institute, which is around 11 kms far from sub division headquarter. 

Sources said that, two lecturers, one from Chemistry department while as another from Mathematics, were transferred from the institute in the month of March, but no is replacing them in the institute as according to sources some lecturers were replaced but they didn’t stay there for long.

Catering to the wide area, the institute as per the students is still without permanent lecturers in both these subjects, which adds the woes of students enrolled in these subjects.

Despite continuous requests from the students, authorities failed to provide the lecturers to them till 30th of April.

“From March till date no one is here to teach us both these subjects. After the transformer of previous lecturers, some new lecturers came here and gone back, thus leaving us in the state of despair,” students of science stream complained.

“We are eagerly waiting for the teachers, so that, we would be able to complete our syllabus and other processes,” they added.

The principal of the institute Ghulam Qadir, when contacted, told this reporter, “Yes, we don’t have these lecturers available as clerks were on strike, due to which CEO couldn’t frame any order.”

He however said that a contractual lecturer for Mathematics has already joined yesterday on 1st may, which will mitigate the problems of students.

Principal further said that Bio-chemistry teacher used to teach chemistry students till date also assured that within days, institute will have Chemistry lecturer too.
