Srinagar,: Minister for Finance Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Wednesday called upon the office bearers of clerical association to come forward to help government to reach a solution on their demands and refrain from the path of confrontation in the larger interests of the people who are already suffering for the last several years.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said “let them come forward to reach solution on demands. I am ready to hear them and will personally monitor the working of the committee already set up by the government for resolution of the demands. All demands of the clerical association will be considered and resolved seriously and I appeal to the clerical association to resume work to mitigate the sufferings of the people and give government a chance to resolve the issues.”
Meanwhile, Clerical strike today entered seventeenth day. The strike has paralyzed the functioning in the government offices leaving thousands of people in distress.
