Hurriyat (G) slams state authorities for closing educational institutions

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) slamming state authorities over, deployment of forces, curbs, closure of educational institutions and harassment of students, under the bogey of law and order, Tuesday said that it is ridiculous and exposes the repressive regime further.
Strongly criticizing the Chief Minister for her rhetoric for the development, Hurriyat (G) in a statement issued to KNS added that forces are using brute methods and showering pellets and PAWA shells, maiming and mercilessly killing unarmed civilians.
“People are killed, caged and harassed, reflecting the complete apathy of disregard of those giving such orders towards the sentiments of people and particularly student community,” Hurriyat (G) said and appealed people to be cautious about follies being played by Delhi groomed henchmen.
“Detaining dozens of resistance activists and workers every day and lodging them in various jails illegally just for their political beliefs is a move to create fear among the people to stop them from demanding their basic right—the right to self-determination,” Hurriyat said.
“These rulers in Kashmir have completely failed on all fronts. On the one hand, Kashmir is in the grip of lakhs of terrorizing forces and on the other, terror and fear have been unleashed upon people and added their slogans for Sadak, Pani and Bijli is but hoax and just to deceive and to shield their crimes,” Hurriyat said.
Hurriyat said that their deceit, treachery and the excesses perpetrated by their forces won’t deter or break their resolve and will pursue pious mission of freedom till its logical end.
Meanwhile, the amalgam termed the slapping of 5th Public Safety Act (PSA) on 80-year-old pro-freedom leader, Mohd Subhan Wani as “state terrorism”, saying “it is highly condemnable.’’
Referring to “prolonged and unlawful detention” of Wani, Hurriyat said, he is languishing in jail since long, however, it is quite disheartening that he is being subjected to vengeance by state authorities.”
Referring to “prolonged and unlawful detention and framing fake charges against Mohd Subhan Wani and prolonging his detention on fake allegations, Hurriyat said that judiciary is not doing fair trial and rather following its bias approach.
Terming it as ‘sheer vengeance and bias attitude’, Hurriyat appealed world human rights organizations for their cognizance.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat expressed deep grief over the demise of wife of Gh Mohd Safi and extended its condolences with grieved family.
In a condolence meeting chaired by its General Secretary Gh Nabi Sumji, its executive members including Syed Mohd Shafi, Hakim Ab Rashid, Spokesman Gh Ahmad Gulzar, Mohd Shafi Lone, Peer Ab Rashid, Mohd Amin and prayed for departed soul and forbiddance to grieved family to bear this irreparable loss
