Srinagar leh highway closed, brunt on people in ladakh
People of ladakh region are not happy with frequent closure of Zogila pass . On Friday morning authorities closed the traffic on the highway as 10 inches of snow have accumulated on the road stretch from sonamarg to Zogila pass .
Residents of Drass and kargil in the recent past protested many times, accusing BRO of not opening the Srinagar leh highway despite being clear for traffic.The residents said that as there was no heavy snowfall on the road it could have been opened in mid February .
Reports from many areas of ladakh region said that people were facing shortage of fresh fruits and vegetables apart from other essential commodities .
