Kashmir shuts, Yasin Malik detained

Complete shutdown is being witnessed across Kashmir valley on Monday, reports pouring from various districts on Monday morning suggests. The general strike call was given by JRL for Sunday and Monday to protest against killing of thirteen militants and 4 civilians on Sunday in Shopian and Anantanag.
Authorities have not on,y deployed additional forces but have shut all schools and colleges, have snapped internet services and have suspended rail services across Kashmir on Monday as a precautionary measure. In Srinagar city after Sunday protests authorities have imposed restrictions in five police stations in downtown and two police stations in uptown to prevent protests.
Meanwhile police on Monday morning detained JKLF chief Yasin Malik from his Maisuma residence and have lodged him in kothibagh police station. Malik was scheduled to lead a protest march against Shopian killing on Monday morning.
