JKLF organises blood camp in Srinagar

Srinagar :  Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Saturday organised a blood donation camp on eve of death anniversary of Dr Abdul Ahad Guru.

Guru was an exceptional person who not only left his mark on medical, political and religious fronts but worked relentlessly on social fronts through his philanthropic works.  JKLF chairman said that people like Shaheed-I-Hikmat doctor Guru are crown of nations and personalities like these stand as a symbol of glory for the living nations. He said that doctor Guru from his birth on 24 November 1939 ‘showed the characteristics’ of a Godly person and today more than two decades after his martyrdom, Kashmir is yet to produce anyone like him, said a spokesman.

This year JKLF, the event was organized a day before against annual event held on April 1, said a party spokesman. “Since, Guru sahab’s anniversary this year falls on Sunday, we conducted the event a day before to ensure people participate in it without any hassle,” he said.
