North kashmir: Clashes erupt in Sopore during search operation

Srinagar: Clashes erupted on Tuesday in north Kashmir’s Sopore area during a search operation by the government forces, police said.

Reports said that a joint team of 22 RR of the army, Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF launched a CASO in Brath village after receiving the inputs about the presence of the militants in the area.

Reports also said that three youth were also detained, adding that the government forces were pelted by stones. Forces responded with tear gas and pellets, leaving four youth injured.
