DDC chairs annual credit plan meet, asks for lending in education, housing sector

POONCH, MARCH 14: District Development Commissioner Tariq Ahmad Zargar today chaired a meeting with bankers, government agencies and concerned departments to review the progress made under Annual Credit Plan till December, 2017.

Threadbare discussion was held pertaining to various issues including position of deposit, advances under credit related schemes besides various methods to be taken to improve CDR ratio.

DDC also released PLP prepared by NABARD on the occasion.

DDC was informed that the district has achieved 57% percent targets  for annual credit plan of 2017-18 .

The meeting also revealed that CD ratio of the district upto feb.28, 2018 was 26.94% percent.

To give push to agriculture sector 31755 KCC have been sanctioned, out of it 22641 have been disbursed so far in the district. Moreover to further strengthen the scope of agriculture in hilly district, 39% achievement which includes farm credit and ancillary activities, whereas, 94% achievement under crop loan scheme has been registered.

DDC directed for focusing on time bound sanctioning and disbursement of cases under all credit-linked schemes with particular focus on expanding housing and education sector.

 The bankers were directed to hold Financial Literacy Camps in collaboration with line departments on regular basis to educate the rural masses about benefits entailed under different schemes especially for education and housing sectors so that deserving beneficiaries can be benefited.

Additional District Development Commissioner Abdul Hameed, Director JKRSETI S. Sukhbir Singh, LDM. D.K Bali, Regional Manager Grameen Bank and officers from line department were present in the meeting.
