Vacant posts of medicos in rural, hilly areas to be filled soon: Bali Bhagat

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 09: Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Bhagat today informed the House that the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Commission (JKPSC) has completed the recruitment process for selection of 371 doctors and the selection list is expected to be finalized soon.

Replying to a question of Pradeep Sharma, the Minister said that the vacant posts in the hospitals in rural and hilly areas would be filled on priority to provide better healthcare facilities to the people living in these areas.

He further said that there is sufficient quantity of medicines available in every hospital across the state under Free Drug Policy. The vacant posts of the doctors/para-medical staff have been referred to PSC/SSRB for selection, he added.

He informed that two technicians have been trained in District Hospital, Poonch to handle the CT Scan machine. Nine ambulances including one Critical Care Ambulance are also available in the hospital, he added.
