Engineer Rashid Abused,thrashed and dragged during protest in Handwara

AIP has said to media that its leader Engineer Rashid was humiliated ,thrashed and arrested by SP Handwara who came out of his office and said he will teach the sitting MLA a lesson.However there was no immediate response from police on this incident. MLA Langate Er Rasheed was arrested outside SP office Handwara while he along with the party workers were seeking the release of two innocent youth namely Irshad Ahmad Parra resident of Badrah and Abdul Rasheed resident of Ganapora Langate.
The spokesman said protest led by Er Rasheed gathered outside SP office Handwara seeking an immediate and unconditional release of two youth but However SP Handwara came out of his office along with a contingent of police and used force to disperse the mob resulting in sustaining of injuries to a number of protesters.
Er Rasheed was thrashed, abused, humiliated and dragged to police station Handwara., the spokesman said.
