Legislators kick start roads up gradation works
REASI, JANUARY 31- Member Legislative Assembly Gool-Arnas, Ajaz Ahmed Khan and Gulab-Garh Haji Mumtaz Ahmed Khan today kick started up-gradation works on three major link roads in Chinkah, Thakrakote, Baldano and Kakra area.
Later, the legislators also kick started black toppinng of Arnas Thakrakote Road from 3rd to 9th Kilometer to be completed at an estimated cost of 1.82 crore under state sector and 02km road from Chinkah to Baldano which would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 7 lakh under District Plan.
Up-gradation work of 1.4 kilometer Chinkah to Kakra road at an estimated cost of Rs 1.92 lakh under NABARD was also launched which would provide smooth road connectivity in remote area of Tehsil Thakrakote.
Later, the MLAs visited High School Chinkah and started the requisite work on school playground.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajaz Ahmed Khan said that various other road works in the area will also be taken up at vigorous pace for massive development in the area.
Among other present included, Tehsildar Thakrakote, BDO Thakrakote, XEN PMGSY, AEEs from Irrigation, PHE, PDD, PWD and PMGSY.
