The 2018 Union Budget, which will be presented to Parliament in 3 days, has been printed. Only Part B, which contains the taxation proposals, are being given final touches by the PMO and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley; once that is done, it will be printed tonight.

The 950 bundles of Union Budget papers will be kept ready by Wednesday night, with just 12 hours to go for its presentation. In total 85 officials from various departments of the Government of India are now under lock and key, with a heavy deployment of CISF guards and IB sleuths.
Digital security of the Budget papers has been entrusted to the Intelligence Bureau, which is commissioned to guard the papers zealously. The printing press is located in the basement of North Block, headquarters of the finance ministry. (Agencies)
