03 Tral residents among 4 drug peddlers arrested in Anantnag, Kulgam
SRINAGAR, January 13: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, four drug peddlers were arrested in Anantnag and Kulgam.
Acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Ashmuqam headed by SHO Ashmuqam arrested a drug peddler identified as Tariq Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat resident of Dangerpora Yaal Ashmuqam and recovered a huge quantity of poppy straw from his possession.
A case FIR number 04/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
In Kulgam, a police party of Police Post Jawhar tunnel intercepted a Sumo bearing registration number JK02AB-4097 during a naka checking. On checking 10 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered form the possession of Mudasir Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Mohammad, Feroz Ahmad Chowpan son of Mushtaq Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad Baba son of Ghulam Rasool residents of Laroogam, Tral.
Kulgam police has registered a case and investigation was taken up.
