World Soil Day observed at Handwara
KUPWARA, : In order to celebrate the World Soil Day, a day-long function was organized by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kupwara here today.
Legislator, Bashir Ahmad Dar was the chief guest on the occasion.
On the occasion, experts of KVK gave detailed information on “Soil Health Mapping”.
MLA Kupwara impressed upon the experts to provide technical and other inputs to farmers and orchardist. He called upon progressive farmers to utilize scientific knowledge so that it results in rich yield.
The Dean Faculty of Agriculture College Wadura, Dr. Shiekh Bilal and Scientist SKUAST K Dr. Rehana highlighted the overall performance of SKUAST K.
Dar later distributed Soil Health Cards among 50 progressive farmers.
