Hundreds of vehicles stranded on both sides of Zogila pass
On Friday morning Zogila pass and adjacent tourist resort of sonamarg had received a fresh snow cover.According to official of BRO Zogila pass received 10 inches of fresh snow and sonamarg got few inches of snow. This has forced the authorities to close vehicular traffic on Srinagar leh highway on Friday.
According to senior traffic officer they will try to clear the traffic from sonamarg upto kargil first as lot of trucks have been halted due to snow. He told VOV if the weather is good and BRO people will give clearance they will allow traffic to move from sonamarg to kargil first. He said that initially they will allow only stranded vehicles to move as there is a mess of traffic due to sudden closure of Zogila pass.
