Security  forces on Thursday launched a massive search operation in over a dozen villages of Shopian district in south Kashmir.

Reports said that a joint team of army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a search operation in over a dozen villages in the district early morning.

They said that the search operation was launched after a tip-off about the presence of militants.

All exit points were sealed and a search operation has been launched.
