JRL for protests invoke restrictions

Joint resistance leadership has appealed people to hold protests after Friday prayers against the failure of the government to stop braid chopping incidents. Authorities have responded to thier appeal by imposing restrictions in seven police stations of srinagar city on Friday as precautionary measure to avoid protests and violence.

Reports said that there would be no Friday prayers at Jamia masjid srinagar and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq would be kept under house arrest. Police said that they have decided to impose restrictions in five police stations of maharaj gunj safakadal khaniyaar nowhatta Rainawari and partial restrictions in police stations of Maiusuma and Kralkhud on Friday.
