Karkit gets road connectivity
After decades of wait residents of Karkit area near the line of control in Kargil finally got road connectivity. Our reporter from Kargil said that all landmines in the area were removed by army.the people of the area have been demanding demining of the area to get connected with rest of the region.
Locals are very keen that there area should come on the tourist map as they have lot to offer to the nature and culture loving tourists.
Karkit area comprises of many small villages and were part of Gilghit Baltistan till 1971. They were keen to join this part of the divide and have been demanding the basic facilities since then.
