Gunfight underway in shopian,two militants killed so far.
A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir on Monday.
An official said that gunfight began after forces cordoned off the Gatipora village in Keller tehsil of the district following “specific” inputs about the presence of militants.
He said that militants hiding in the village opened fire after forces approached the suspected site, drawing retaliation from the forces.
“The exchange of fire is on,” he said.
According to reports two militants have been killed so far
