Government to regularise daily wagers
Minister of Finance, Dr Haseeb Drabu on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the modalities for regularisation of casual labourers, adhoc employees and others.
During the meeting, Dr Drabu discussed the administrative, financial and legal modalities involved in regularisation of casual labourers working in different departments of the State government.
The Finance Minister asked the officers to look into extent of problems relating to casual workers and the financial, legal and administrative bottlenecks that may arise in the process of regularisation of such workers.
Dr Drabu said the State government is committed to regularise the services of casual, adhoc and other employees who have been hired from time to time by different governments.
