LeT module busted in Sopore, militant arrested along with ammunition

Sopore :

Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a Lashker-e toiba module and arrested one newly joined militant in a joint operation by Sopore police , 52 RR and 177 CRPF Bn at Amargrah near railway crossing.

According to police,a joint Naka of Police Sopore, 52 RR and 177 CRPF Bn. was established on Seer Amargarh Road near Railway Crossing Seer Sopore.

During Naka checking, one suspected person jumped the Naka and fled to a nearby orchard.

Accordingly the said area was cordoned off by the Police and security forces and the suspected person was apprehended. During the search his identity is revealed as Ishfaq Ahmad Kanna S/o. Mohammad Shafi Kanna of Jamia-Qadeem Sopore district Baramulla, who recently joined LeT outfit.

One pistol , 1 pistol magzine, 5 pistol rounds andUBGL grenades have been recovered from his possession.
A case with bearing FIR No, 86/2017 U/S 7/25 A. Act stands has been registered in Police station Tarzoo.
The statement said that the said militant worked as an active recruiter/OGW for Let outfit in Sopore and other areas of North Kashmir. He was involved in case FIR No. 126/2012 U/S 307 RPC 7/27 A. Act in a Grenade throwing case on Police Station Sopore.
