Shopian shuts for third running day
There seems to be no outreach or response to the demand of people in Shopian district who want a probe into what they call mysterious disappearance of local youth zubair ahmad in police custody.
Shopian town and adjacent areas remained shut on third running day of Saturday with no response from the government. For the third consecutive day all shops.business establishments. Banks. Government offices and schools remained closed.
The residents and civil society of Shopian contested the police version that zubair escaped from their custody on May 1.
