Geelani condemns killings on ideologies
Srinagar: The main face of Kashmir resistance Syed Ali Shah Geelani who wields huge influence over young gunmen has expressed sharp concern over some recent killings of mainstream political workers.
Geelani in a statement said that it is unfair and inhuman to kill a person on the basis of his ideology or political affiliation. He has strongly denounced such killings and has cautioned all people that this will lead Kashmir into chaos and confusion. He described such killings un-Islamic and totally against the spirit of present struggle. However, he did not put blame on militants and said that it was very difficult to judge who has killed them but said that there is no justification for such killings in Kashmir
