Randomization of EVM’s/Polling Staff in District Ganderbal
GANDERBAL: Randomization of Electronic Voting Machines and polling staff for upcoming Parliamentary Bye-Elections to be held on 09-04-2017 in the district, has been conducted today in presence of General Observer appointed by Election Commission of India namely, Mr. Kamlesh Kumar Pant, under the close supervision of District Election Officer Mr. Tariq Hussain Ganai. The General Observed impressed upon the participants to get the largest participation of voters in the elections and ensure that no MCC violation takes place.
District Election Officer, briefed the general Observer that all the necessary strategies have been worked out to meet the security related eventuality especially in hypersensitive polling booths in the District.
Besides, the training programme for the 2nd phase concluded on 31-03-2017, wherein about 1700 employees have been trained for Presiding Officers, P1, P2 and P3 with the objective of ensuring free, fair and smooth conclusion of election process in the District.
